No pep rally tomorrow.
We had a great surprise this morning! The high school football team, band, cheerleaders, volleyball players, twirlers, and Joe Roughneck came to give us a surprise pep rally. Daphne enjoyed watching some of the cheerleaders to some cheers. Sam liked going through the tunnel and giving everyone a high five. Miguel thought the band played really good. And Karson got a big hug from Joe Roughneck. Ryan thought the drum line played really well. After the pep rally we came to the room to unpack and went to the floor to interactively wrote about our good friend Korban. We learned Korban’s favorite book to read is Green Eggs and Ham. Next, we wrote independently about Korban. Then we went to reading centers. One group played games on the computers, another group went to listening center, another group wrote about their teeth after examining them in the mirror, another group went to problem solving pocket chart and worked on math problem solving, and the last group went to poetry to work on identifying short and long vowels. Today in math we worked on problem solving and domino addition.
CHECK out the video on the White Oak Elementary blog if you want to see the band play again.
