Library tomorrow. Spelling test next Thursday the 12th.

Today we learned more about teeth. You have to brush and floss everyday. In math we learned about capacity – how much an item can hold. During number corner we worked on telling time to the 5 minutes. We went to ready bodies.

Graded papers tomorrow.

We finished our President booklet by completing the last page about a future President. Math workplaces included making fact families, Math Blaster, and sequencing cards. Today was PE day and we played Dr. Dr. After writer’s workshop Katie shared a story about her friend Jasmin, Kaitlee shared a story about Valentine’s, and Cody shared a story he wrote about Clifford.

Fundraiser information in my folder.

Today we went to facts4me.com and read information over President Barak Obama, then we used that information and wrote about him. We went to computer lab and worked on computer games. We had a spelling test today over our no excuse and vocabulary words. One of our read alouds was over Abraham Lincoln and we read how he lived when he was young and about his presidency. Character Education was today. Our character trait was diligence – doing something right and finishing your task.

Spelling test tomorrow.

Today we started volume 2 of our math books. Volume 1 is going home and may stay home. We started measuring items for length today using nonstandard units, such as, cubes. Today was Ready Bodies day and we worked on popcorn, superman, and rocking horse. During our blog we read new comments and are going to respond to them tomorrow. We are continuing to learn about Presidents and today we read all about Abraham Lincoln when he was young. Tomorrow we are going to read about him as President.

Early release tomorrow at 11:30. Lunch at 10:35.

We are still studying about Presidents. This week we are reading about Abraham Lincoln and why he is important to the United States of America. One of our new reading centers is typing a story about Presidents. Kaydyn typed a story about George Washington, Katie typed about George Washington, and Jordan typed about all the Presidents. Their stories are hung up with their center work. Today we went to PE with Coach Underwood and started to play Three Wolves.

Early release Tuesday the 24th at 11:30.

We finished our acrostic poem over presidents and hung it in the hall for display. Today we went to a CHAMPS assembly about respect. The following students received awards from various teachers:

Sign and return report card tomorrow.

Today  we went to the computer lab and did SRA. We went to math workplaces and worked on sequencing events, subtraction, fact families, and Math Blasters. For lunch we ate chicken rings, fruit, and a hot roll. We learned more about George Washington and next we will learn about Abraham Lincoln. We continued to work on our acrostic poem about Presidents. It should be finished tomorrow and we will hang it in the hall for everyone to read.

Library tomorrow.

We are continuting to work on letter writing. Now we can write letters to other students and teachers in the school. We are reading about George Washington. He was our first president and helped our country grow. To learn more about George Washington we researched him on facts4me.com.
