No more reading logs. Author’s tea tomorrow at 11:30.

Today was the last day of character ed. Mrs. Maines taught us the lesson of confidence and then we reviewed all of our character traits. This morning we did a review math test. We went to recess early because we were really good for Mrs. Fischer on Monday.

Read tonight. Last day to send money for class picture is tomorrow.

Today we stayed inside because it was raining. During math we worked on place value, learning tens and ones. We went to the computer lab and played games. For lunch we ate hot rolls, chicken rings, peas, mashed potatoes, and cinnamon apples.

Today we went to PE and played dodgeball and freeze tag. We finished our study of frogs and their life cycle. Since Mother’s Day is on Sunday we finished our writing.

Today we continued  writing our F is for First Grade book. We went to the science lab and studied the life cycle of the frog as well as the food chain of pond animals. During shared reading we read another Froggy book. This time he played in a band and won a trophy for being the coolest band.

PE on Monday.

Today we worked on identifying coins and their values. For lunch we went to recess early and ate hot dogs on the playground. We also got to play longer….it was fun! Since it is Friday we went to PE and got to play free play. Also, in math we started a unit over shapes. The shapes we need to know are rhombus, hexagon, triangle, circle, square, trapezoid, and rectangle. Review these shapes at home.
