Two notes in my folder.
We are continuing to work on our blog and keep you updated with what we do at school. Today, we finished our letters to Tacky and Mrs. Ray hung them up in the hall after we shared them. Today was our first CHAMPS assembly. We learned about self-control.

PE tomorrow.
Today we are going to visit the recycling fair that the intermediate is doing to educate us about recycling. We went to the computer lab and played games, then we went to the library. In writing we finished our Tacky letters and tomorrow we will publish them for others to read. In math we are working on place value, counting tens and ones and putting them together to make a number.
Spelling test tomorrow.
Today we went to ready bodies with Mrs. Peery and Mrs. Lakin. In ready bodies we worked on superman and other activities that help us balance and get our bodies ready to learn. During lunch most of us ate hamburgers but some of us ate cheeseburgers. We reviewed a new no excuse word – said. Today, we began writing letters to one of our favorite characters, Tacky. Hopefully, our letters will be done by Friday so we can share them.

Today we went to music with Mrs. KImbley. We played musical games. Everyday we are continuing to work on our blog and get better at typing on the computer. In the cafeteria we ate lunch. It was hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, baby carrots, and milk. We are still working on telling time to the hour and half hour. During writer’s workshop we worked on our stories. Tanner is working a story about deer hunting. Brinn is writing a story about one of our favorite characters, Arthur. And Katie is writing about her best friend Jasmin. Tomorrow in writing we are going begin letters to Tacky.
Work on skip counting by 2’s.
Today we went to PE and played flags. We also learned about the gentoo penguin. And we worked on writing our stories on the computer. At lunch we ate some yummy nachos!
Spelling test on Thursday, January 29.
Today was our Ready to Work celebration. At the celebration we ate ice cream and had free play on the playground. We went to PE and played troll under the bridge. Our day also consisted of learning characteristcs of the Rockhopper penguin and the King penguin. We are going to use that information to write about our favorite penguin next week. We used the website facts4me.com to find information about different penguins.
PE tomorrow.
Today we learned a new math workplace using subtraction. At lunch we ate chicken rings and mashed potatoes. Some of us typed stories on the computer. We had a GOOD day today!
Homework in my folder.
Today we did writers’ workshop. We wrote stories about friends and families. In math we continued to work on telling time. Also, our blog received its first comment.
Graded papers in my folder.
We worked on hour and half hour during math. We used problem solving to determine time. Today was our music day and Mrs. Kimbley did songs with us.
No school on Monday.
Today we went to math work places and worked on addition and subtraction. During independent reading we read books silently by ourselves. Some of us wrote stories on the computer. We added clip art pictures to our stories. As a class we finished our rebus story and we are going to hang it in the hall for others to read. Next week, we can create a rebus story by ourselves.
