Math Objectives for the weeks of March 28 – April 8:
Identifying the name and value of coins; counting a collection of coins by 10’s, 5’s, and 1’s; choosing the correct coins to match values
Below are math objectives we will incorporate into our math lessons:
* Develop Addition Strategies
The students will learn to count on objects using manipulatives and a number line.
* Develop Subtraction Strategies
The students will learn to count back using manipulatives and a number line.
*Relate addition and subtraction
The students will learn to relate addition facts and subtraction facts by using fact families, doubles, neighbors, and known facts.
* Measure Time
We will discuss parts of an analog clock. The students will learn how to tell time by the hour and half hour. They will match the times from a digital clock to an analog clock.
